1. Prioritize moisture
The number one rule for Type 3 hair? Hydration is everything. Curly hair naturally struggles to retain moisture because oils from the scalp have a harder time traveling down the bends of the hair shaft. Use a moisturizing sulfate-free shampoo once or twice a week and follow up with a rich conditioner.
