“Many brands are using satin mixes … They call it silk as a marketing term, but … most of the components are actually polyester,” Muth told Essence, calling out misleading practices in the beauty industry. Unlike satin, which often masks its synthetic base, pure silk is breathable and naturally smooth, ideal for preserving curls, minimizing frizz, and preventing breakage.

Crafted from 22‑momme, 6A-grade organic mulberry silk, they’re double-lined for extra security and designed without elastic to avoid pressure-related damage. Muth’s own hair journey inspired the brand’s mission. Growing up in Germany with multi-textured hair, she endured dryness, breakage, and frustration before discovering silk’s healing power.
